We toured New Orleans today. First we took a guided tour of the City for about 3 hours, then went toured the Aquarium of the Americas, followed by a visit to the Farmer's Market and Flea Market. We finished the day with a Dinner Jazz cruise on the Mississippi.
The bus tour was nice, especially since it rained most of the tour. We saw a little flooding in New Orleans which is up to 12 feet below sea level in some areas. There were some very nice areas of the city, we had a nice tour. The Aquarium was very nice too. We took a trolley to the Farmer Market and Naomi bought a couple of the feather Mardi Gras masks for about $2.50 each. We then walked about 12 blocks back to the hotel to rest up for the dinner cruise.
The dinner cruise was nice, it lasted about 3 hours. We started to pull away from the dock and then went back to pick up another 75 passengers that were on 2 buses that got lost. Unfortunately it was very overcast, so there was no sunset. It didn't rain, so we had a nice trip.
We have had a nice visit in New Orleans, generally just a relaxing time to rest up. Heading home tomorrow after a short stop to see the Carousel in City Park.
